When Churches Work Together

When churches work together, needs are met, communities are blessed, and lives are transformed by the power of Christ. Sometimes people accuse the Christian Church of operating as a silo and not working together. The story you are about to read is living proof that is not the case in Anaheim/North OC.
Meet Guillermo.
Right before the pandemic struck in 2019, his mom died after being hit by a car. Then Covid hit. We ALL know that year was awful in and of itself. In the midst of that incredibly challenging year, Guillermo’s dad started experiencing heart issues and was no longer able to work. From there, things went from bad to worse when Guillermo’s 11-year-old brother was diagnosed with leukemia. Guillermo then had to quit his job to take 24/7 care of his little brother.
A couple weeks back, a social worker from the city of Anaheim contacted City Church to let us know that this family needed a fridge.
They had bought a used one and it quickly broke. Given their situation, they couldn’t afford another one. We reached out to several other churches/ministry partners to see if we might meet this need for this family together.
City Church, Eastside Christian Church, Magnolia First Baptist Church, Dwelling Place Anaheim, and Love Anaheim stepped up to the plate and made it happen.
We might not be able to meet every single need out there but today we were able to meet one. Join us in praying for Guillermo, his family, and for his little brother’s healing from cancer in Jesus’ Name.

Thank you Pastor Kyle and City Church for taking the lead on this! We appreciate you and helping us team up to help Guillermo’s family
