Anaheim High School Ministry Moment

GOD LOVES ANAHEIM HIGH SCHOOL AND WE DO TOO!

If you have not heard, an awful situation unfolded on the afternoon of Wednesday December 10th. 8 Anaheim High School Students were injured when a car struck them as they were waiting on the sidewalk.

Today, in a packed classroom with all the affected coaches and athletes, God opened a door for Pastors Kyle and Josh to go to the school, speak to all the students affected, and even PRAY (yes you read that right)… PRAY over them during school.

I (Kyle) spoke that we join them in thanking God that it appears the kids will recover, even if there’s a tough road ahead. I also shared that God does not ordain evil but He can redeem it when we partner with Him. I prayed for healing over the injured in Jesus’ Name and healing emotionally for all who were struggling. The students and coaches were clearly affected emotionally by the situation, so we praise God that we were able to pray for them in the moment. We ask for you to continue to pray as well.

We are sometimes hesitant to share moments like these because we never want to resemble the Pharisees who parade their good deeds before others. At the same time, we want you to be encouraged that God is opening doors behind the scenes for City Church to minister. God’s Spirit continues to use City Church as a conduit of the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please keep praying for the injured and for everyone processing trauma from this event.

Pastors Kyle and Josh
