🎉 Baptisms, Barbecue, and a Birthday Party! 🎉

Do you ever look back and feel like everything was a blur?

I certainly do. That's why it's so important to pause and reflect on the ways God has worked in different seasons. Believe it or not, remembrance is a spiritual discipline.

Right after the nation of Israel passed over the Jordan into the Promised Land, Joshua made them all stop and build a memorial (Joshua 4:1-10). They placed 12 rocks in specific places so they would be able to remember and recount how God had fulfilled His promise to bring them into the land.

I wish I could tell you that I faithfully keep a journal or have some elaborate system to build marker moments in my life. But honestly, I don't. I do it the way many of you probably do... scrolling through photos and videos on my phone. It's not perfect but it accomplishes the goal of recognizing God's faithfulness over time.

That's also why City Church celebrates our anniversary every year. It gives us a reason to stop, reflect, and celebrate all God has done in the life of our church.

So... we're doing it again and you are invited!

This Sunday we’re celebrating City Church’s 16th birthday! I believe I have a special word from God to share with you. Plus, we’ll be celebrating baptisms and enjoying a barbecue after each service. MEGA BONUS: City Kids will perform on stage!
