It has now officially been over a year since the world shut down and since City Church has had to repeatedly pivot our ministry model. Though no one would dare declare “victory” over Covid given the amount of uncertainty out there, the light at the end of the tunnel finally seems to be in sight. Orange County has been solidly under 200 daily Covid cases, hospitalizations continue to fall, and vaccinations are increasing. Recently, we progressed to the less restrictive “Red Tier” and things seem on pace to even hit the “Yellow” Tier very soon. On top of that, Disneyland is finally coming back!!!

What does all this mean for City Church? We feel it is now safe to offer an in-person, indoor service option again. Beginning Sunday March 21st, we will offer three worship options.

  1. In-person/INDOOR worship in our sanctuary. Seasoned believers quickly learn that God doesn’t dwell in buildings and that we are God’s temple. That being the case, it sure does feel good to praise God in a structure specifically designed to praise God. We are grateful to officially bring this option back.
  2. In-person/OUTDOOR worship in our courtyard (worship/message via video screen). We know some of you really want to be in-person but aren’t quite ready to be indoors just yet. We’ve got you covered! There will be a screen in the main courtyard with shaded, socially distant seating where you can praise God outdoors on our campus.
  3. Online worship. We know some of you still feel more comfortable praising God at home. We also know some of you now call City Church home who live well outside of Orange County. We are committed to continue to be your church too. If you have been watching online this past year, take note that we are now switching back to a live stream of Sunday mornings. Online service times will now coincide with in-person services. Since the event will be a “live stream,” we won’t be able to send a direct YouTube link ahead of time. Read below to learn more about how to find our live stream.

Effective Sunday March 21st, BOTH in-person and online service options will start at 10:10am PST. The only exception to these times will be Easter Sunday, April 4th (more details on that in the coming weeks).

  1. Go to our website when service starts and you will find the live stream at the top where the main video is located.
  2. Subscribe to our YouTube channel. Better yet, tap the bell icon to make sure you are receiving all of our notifications. That way you’ll get a push notification anytime we go live or post a new video.
  3. We stream directly to our Facebook page. If you REALLY want to be in the know, take it a step further by tapping the three dots, clicking “Follow Settings,” and adding our page to your favorites. From there, you can even customize your Facebook push notifications to receive a “ding” on your phone every time we go live.

Thank you for being the kind of church that flexes with change and grows stronger because of it. We’re grateful for you. We’re also praying for the stabilization of Covid in our area so we are able to offer more consistency and not have to repeatedly pivot back and forth. Most importantly, we are praying for the Kingdom of God to expand mightily as we prepare ourselves for whatever lies ahead in all of our lives.

See you soon!
