Hey City Church,

We’ve had a really good time praising the Lord in person and seeing your faces again (even if it has to be outdoors and masked). We initially decided to relaunch with two services so we could ensure ample room to social distance. I am glad we erred on that side. Other churches we have consulted with said they are currently hovering between 10-30% of their “pre-covid” attendance numbers. City Church is currently sitting in the middle to higher end of that zone at around 20-25%. That being the case, we are learning that we still have plenty of room to social distance with a single service. Because of that…

Effective this upcoming Sunday October 4th, City Church will shift to a single outdoor service at 10:10am.

You guys have been so accommodating and understanding as changes have rolled out this year. We’re so grateful for that. If you already registered for this upcoming Sunday, you don’t need to do anything about it, just show up a few minutes early for the 10:10am service. If you have not yet registered but would like to, please head to lovehopecity.com/inperson or hop on the Church Center App right now and secure your spot.

On the positive side, I also wanted to let you know that our staff are working very hard towards getting back into the sanctuary as soon as possible. We’ve been in there prepping the building all week and we’re hoping to have a date to announce real soon. Though things can always change with COVID, we’re feeling quite optimistic. Say a prayer for us and stay tuned.
