Hey City Church,

Last week we announced that we’d be temporarily going back to one service due to lower than expected demand for in-person gatherings. After making that announcement, we had 20% MORE people the following Sunday! While that is a great problem to have, the numbers pushed us to the limits of currently allowed gatherings. We’re doing our very best to operate within the guidelines issued by state and county officials. Because of that…

We are going to switch back to TWO in-person services on Sundays at 9:09am and 11:11am (as we used to pre-covid).

I apologize for the confusion. Church in the covid era is so different for ministry leaders because we are used to doing our best to fill rooms up. Now we have to make sure to keep them at less than 25% capacity. We feel the safest thing for everyone is to have two services, even if the service feels empty sometimes. Thank you for your understanding. So go ahead and register online HERE for this upcoming Sunday at 9:09am or 11:11am.

A couple more things.

  1. We are working towards getting back into the sanctuary¬†soon. At that point, our goal is to return to a high quality live stream for City Church online (as opposed to the pre-recorded online services we are currently doing). That being the case, the sanctuary isn’t quite ready for that yet.
  2. This upcoming Sunday October 11th, City Church online will continue to be pre-recorded and will go live at 9am PST. Once we are able to stream from the sanctuary, we will let you know with a blog post/email.

Blessings to you and thanks for being such a great church.
