The Tattoos Heard 'Round The World.

WOW... what an incredible week! Who would have thought that our church would make ripples around the world? The story of how God is using City Church has been picked up by news outlets such as CNN, CBS News, MSNBC, and many more. God can use anything for His glory.

This was about more than tattoos though. I believe that God strategically used all of us at City Church to ask the world two questions:

1. "Who is Jesus?"
2. "What does it mean to be part of God's church?"

These two questions strike to the core of a person's past hurts, their present frustrations, and their fears about their eternal future when they die. Many who have been hurt in the past lash out when this chord gets struck again.

Nonetheless, it is amazing that God used us to bring about the importance of the gospel in a world that desperately needs it. Take a minute to celebrate in your heart right now by watching this great VIDEO RE-cap.

Where do we go from here?

The answer is simple: we go back to why we started in the first place. We planted City Church with a vision to GIVE BACKto the community of Anaheim & Orange County, one life at a time. Our vision will never change, and our commitment to reaching this community for Christ is as permanent as the tattoos on some of our bodies.

This year, our vision will come to life in new ways. Remember this...

God blesses us so that we can bless others.

In Genesis 12:2, God tells Abraham WHY he will bless him. God says "And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, SO THAT you will be a blessing."

Did you catch the second part? There is an imperative here. It is tempting to hoard our blessing, but God calls us to give it away! We are blessed SO THAT we can bless others.

Dear friends at City Church, we have been blessed. It is now time to give it away. Are you ready?

This Sunday, I am introducing our new series "RED." Don't miss it!
