Have you ever hit rock bottom? Do you know someone who has hit rock bottom? Rock bottom is not a destination anyone plans to end up, yet you and I may be leading ourself to the bottom at this very moment. Rock bottom is not the end, but it's a wake up call for some of us to get on the right track.
God "bows down "our hearts with hard labor according to Psalm 107:12... but did you know, He is also waiting for us with open arms to cry out for help? (Psalm 107:10-22) Nothing, including the Bible, says life is supposed to be easy. We must go through trials, yet our choices can lead us into prisons inside our own hearts if we rebel against God. God gave us free will so the choice is ours to live selfishly or follow God wholeheartedly.
If you feel lonely, confused, or maybe you feel like a failure... the good news is that there is a way to break out! Please take time to talk to someone (a family member, friend, church leader) if you think you are close to rock bottom or have hit it. Remember, you are NOT alone! God is waiting with His arms wide open for all of us, yes, ALL of us! How lucky right?! Jesus is our personal "get out of jail free" card!
Deliverance is our promise from God, but it's up to you to cry out for it. YOU need to take the step towards Jesus and be free from the prison holding you hostage.
