God Opens Doors NO ONE can close.

When was the last time you accidentally locked your keys in your car or got locked out of your house? After it happens, you are faced with two seemingly BAD options.

Do I force my way in (usually involving the breaking of a window)?
or…
Do I wait until someone can help me (locksmith, friend with spare key, etc.)?

In your mind, you know the first one is going to cost you some cash, but if you are in a hurry, busted windows are unfortunate casualties. The second option is going to require something all of us struggle with: PATIENCE.

Closed doors are HARD to accept.

Revelation 3:7 says that God "opens doors no one can close" and "closes doors no one can open."

In your life, are you standing outside of a closed door that you think God should open? It is terribly frustrating and tempting to try to pry it open. But just like it costs money to fix a broken window, there is a spiritual cost involved in forcing closed doors open. It is exhausting, and usually doesn't get us anywhere.

The truth is… God is the only One who can open doors that lead to purpose and fulfillment in our lives. The doors He opens are the ones that inspire people to accomplish great things. The ones we try to pry open do not.

My encouragement to all of us? When a door is locked… let it be. God might open it later, or He may choose just to leave it shut. He may even have something BETTER for us, but we can miss the open doors because we get hung up on the ones that are shut.

What door does God want to open in your life? When you find it, don't walk through it. RUN through it.

Look forward to seeing you for a special service this Sunday, 10:30am at Chain Reaction. We are finishing our series "DEEPER" by doing something we have never done before. See you there for the surprise.
