Though he never wrote a book, held an office of power, or traveled very far from his place of birth, humanity has not stopped talking about Jesus since he was born. Moreover, the world was changed upside down by a singular historical event – the resurrection from the dead. Though 2,000 years have passed, haunting questions remain: Who is Jesus? What really happened on that fateful day millennia ago? Is Jesus relevant to my life? Where am I going when I die? How can I be sure?
On Easter Sunday (March 27th), City Church plans to celebrate the most important holiday of the year with the special theme “ALIVE.” We’ll stick to our usual service times of 9:09am and 11:11am. Our address is 701 W. Broadway, Anaheim CA 92805.
Here are four quick things you’ll want to know.
1. If you don’t normally go to church, it’s a great day to check it out. We promise we won’t do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable. You’ll be glad you came.
2. If you attend City Church on a regular basis, we hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to bring friends and family to join us. Some statistics suggest that 92% of individuals would say yes to attend an Easter service if invited. Take the time to reach out to some folks you know.
3. City Kids will have a special Easter celebration of their own. We have a great morning planned for the adults as well as the kids. Bring your kids over to City Kids to enjoy the fun. They’ll be glad you did!
4. Additional parking is available at the Anaheim Public Library across the street. Our lot has about eighty spots in it. We are expecting a lot more people than that, if you can plan to park at the library and walk to the church it would be a great help. It’s only a 3-minute walk! Please don’t jaywalk as Broadway is a busy street. Here’s a map detailing the walk from the library so you can see how close it is.
